Kirsten Noelle Anderson was born and raised in North Carolina before moving to Utah to complete her BFA in painting and printmaking at Southern Utah University. She has since participated in various residencies around the world allowing her to learn from and collaborate with fellow artists in places such as France, Spain and Austria.

Her continuously evolving style explores recurring motifs of feminism, spirituality and connection. Balancing between naturalistic and stylized forms as a way to communicate what is real versus what is imagined, her figurative work inhabits surreal worlds of winding landscapes and glowing tones creating liminal spaces on the verge of clarity.

A yearning for sense of self is displayed through literal and symbolic representations of ambiguity, regrets, growth, and progression. Opposing the linear experience, Kirsten's work instead provides a world overflowing with space and time.
